The Student Alliance program aims to leverage technology to sustainably raise awareness of human trafficking. Student Alliance partners are encouraged to use the Human Trafficking Awareness Snapcode above to direct students to information on trafficking at the touch of their fingertips.

Scanning the Snapcode above directs students to a carousel of human trafficking statistics. Event organizers can print off a copy of the Student Alliance Snapcode to use at awareness events as an alternative to distributing paper fact sheets. Organizers should familiarize themselves with the directions below to seamlessly employ the technology.

Volunteers should encourage event attendees to scan the Snapcode to learn more about human trafficking. Organizers can decide to make scanning the code and/or sharing one of the infographics on social media a prerequisite to students receiving T-shirts, stickers or food at an event. Directions on how to instruct students to scan the code are below.

  1. Open your Snapchat account.
  2. Face camera in Snapchat towards the Student Alliance Snapcode.
  3. Press the Snapcode on the the screen and hold it down until the website is recognized and you are prompted to open the link.
  4. Click “Open Link” and be directed to the Student Alliance website of infographics.
  5. Share an infographic using #StudentsAgainstTrafficking.
